E-rickshaw accident: Body of Batamaloo resident retrieved from Jhelum after 3 days | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 05 (KNO): The body of a man, who was travelling in an e-rickshaw that fell into the river Jhelum on Saturday, was retrieved after three days of hectic efforts on Monday, officials said. An official informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that after hectic efforts from SDRF, Indian Navy, and other departments, the body was retrieved today. He identified the deceased as Mukhtar Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Batmaloo Srinagar. He added that, in this incident, one person identified as Umer Ahmad Dar, a resident of SD colony Batmaloo, was rescued alive on Saturday, along with his e-rickshaw vehicle while the body of another onboard person was retrieved today. When contacted, ASI SDRF Abdul Rashid told KNO that the rescue operation ason for the last three days. The River Police, Indian Army were joined by locals, who successfully retrieved the body after hectic efforts of three days, he said—(KNO)
